Major League Baseball Player. He was an infielder making his debut for the Providence Grays on May 31, 1883. For twelve seasons, he played with the Providence Grays (1883), Philadelphia Quakers (1884-89), Philadelphia Athletics (1890-91), Philadelphia Phillies (1892), Washington Senators (1893) and Brooklyn Grooms (1895). He concluded his career with a record of 1059 hits, 598 runs scored, 29 home runs, 532 runs batted in and a .261 batting average.
