Merritt Clayton "Rooster" Johnson, 92, died Friday, November 12, 1993, in a local hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Moores Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Nolan officiated. Burial was in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnson, a Hancock County native, had lived in Milledgeville for many years. He was a retired farmer and an employee of Central State Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Jack G. Johnson of Milledgeville and Harold L. Johnson of Conyers; two daughters, Vera Williams of McIntyre and Sue Crisp of Murphy, N.C.; a brother, John B. Johnson of Sparta; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
