FRED M. WOLFINGER, widely known citizen and city market master, died suddenly this morning at his home, 945 Rose Hill Avenue, aged 60 years. Death was due to a heart attack and followed an illness of only a half hour.

Mr. Wolfinger was a member of the First Christian Church, Improved Order of Odd Fellows, Gilead Encampment and drum corps, Norman Council, No. 31, Jr., OUAM and the Junior Fire Company.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Viola Wolfinger, son, Frederick, Jr., daughter, Miss Catherine, Philadlphia and one brother, Attorney Scott M. Wofinger, Hagerstown.

Mr. Wolfinger was an arden Republican and well known throughout the county. He was a Republican candidate for city council sereral times and at the change of the city administration in April, was appointed market master.

Funeral services took place at the Minnich Funeral Home; burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.

WILLIAM H. WOLFINGER, a well known resident of the city, aged 75 years, died at the home of his son, Frederick M., Rose Hill Avenue, this morning of complications.

Mr. Wolfinger was one of the best known blacksmiths in this section, learning his trade with Mr. Warfield of the Leitersburg Pike. He was in business along the pike opposite the George Bowers place near Bridgeport. From there he went to Chewsville and worked at his trade for 14 years and at which place he made many warm friends. He was a man who always kept himself well informed on various topics and could discuss Bible subjects most intelligently. From Chewsville he moved to Hagerstown and worked for the Hess Carriage Co., and later engaged in the general blacksmithing business for himself. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

He is survived by two sons, Frederick and Scott M. Wolfinger, this city; brothers, John O., and Levi B., Leitersburg.

Funeral services were held at the house. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
