Adeline A Halbach, age 84, of Kaukauna, died Sunday June 6, 2004 at St. Paul Home. Adeline was born November 10, 1919 to the late Bernard and Frances (Schmitz) Vogds in Fond du Lac. She married the late Urban Halbach on November 4, 1941 in Johnsburg. The couple enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1997. Adeline managed the hot lunch program at St. John's and worked at the Thiel Cheese Company.
She was a longtime member of St. John Catholic Church and active in the Christian Mothers Society. Adeline enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and was a superb cook. She loved her family and liked to shower her grandchildren with affection.
She is survived by her four children, Mary Lou (Joe) Schwalbach of Sherwood, Michael (Karen) Halbach of Houston TX, Carol (Fred) Pritzl of Brillion and Patrick (Kris) Halbach of Sherwood; eleven grandchildren and seven-teen great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Patricia Mertens and two sisters-in-law, Verena Halbach and Jane Vogds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Sue Ann, her granddaughter, Nina Bearth, three brothers, a sister and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 9, 2004 at St. John Catholic Church, St. John with Fr. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Homburg and the staff at the St. Paul Home for all the care and compassion they gave to Adeline. Also, not to forget Mom's two favorite nurses, her daughters, Mary Lou and Carol.
