GIOVANNA (JOAN) BARILE, 69, was taken home by God, Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, after courageous battle with A.L.S.
Born in Macchiagodena, (Isernia), Italy, she worked with Seyfert's for 40 years, retiring in 1998. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Sons of Italy Club and Italian American Club.
Survivors include husband, Joseph Barile of Fort Wayne; son, Michael (Rebecca) Barile of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sandra (Dale) Budzon of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Emily and Elizabeth Budzon, Loren, and Claire Barile; sisters, Teresa Barile, Felicia (Vince) DiIanni and Stella (Giulio) Barile, all of Fort Wayne; brother, Nick (Yvonne) Ciocca of Fort Wayne; and brother-in-law, Gennaro Barile of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rocco and Anna Ciocca; and sister, Rosa Barile, in June of 2006.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior. Msgr. John N. Suelzer officiating. Calling also from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with Vigil at 7:45 p.m. and Rosary at 8 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to A.L.S. Association or Masses.
