The Reverend Jonas Lee Hicks, 84, of Maryville, TN, passed away July 27, 2014, at Morningview Transitional Care Center.
An ordained minister, he pastored Marbledale Church of God, was the former pastor of Foothills Church of God and served as assistant pastor at Third Street Baptist Church. His faith remained an abiding source of strength and pleasure to him into his last days and hours. He enjoyed discussing the Bible, singing hymns and praying and witnessing to all he met.
He is preceded in death by parents, Jonas and Versie Hicks and brother, J. H. Hicks.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara (Patterson) Hicks; children, Ricky Lee, James Howard and Melodye Ann Hicks all of TN; grandchildren, Brant Howard Hicks, Derrick Paul Hicks, and Travis Ryan (Kayla) Hicks; great granddaughters, Madison and Hailey Hicks; brother, Oakley Jenkins (Juanita) Hicks; sisters-in-law, Vanuiel (Patterson) Hicks, Wilma Hall (Hyder) Patterson; brothers-in-law, Stephen Sherrod (Wanda) Patterson, Clarence Curtis (Patricia) Patterson, David Darwin (Karen) Patterson numerous nieces and nephews and special family, Jodi Glandon.

Funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. at the McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Reverend Edmond Stallings and Reverend Otis Ball officiating.
The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Otis Ball officiating.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday to go in a procession.
