Daughter of John and Magdalena (Waltz) Drass. Wife of William Marks. Mother of John, Charles, Amelia, Delia, Regina, William, Francis, Gertrude and Margaret.


Altoona Mirror, Friday, July 30, 1909:

"Mary Magdalene Marks, wife of Wm. Marks, died at 8 this morning at her home on East Mulberry street, Hollidaysburg, from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she sustained two weeks ago. The deceased was a daughter of John Drass (deceased) and Magdalene Drass, and was born in France Jan. 31, 1849. She came to America when quite a little girl. She was highly esteemed in this community, and was a consistent member of St. Mary's Catholic church. She is survived by her mother, husband, and these children: John, Charles, Mrs. Delia Manning, Mrs. James Gromiller, Leo Francis Marks, Misses Gertrude and Margaret, all of Hollidaysburg. She is also survived by these brothers and sisters: John D. and Jacob Drass of Hollidaysburg, Michael and Alexander Drass of Duncansville, Miss Mary Drass and Mrs. A.B. Cerea, both of Hollidaysburg. The funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church on Monday morning at 9 o'clock."
