He was born in Providence Township and lived in that area all his life. He worked for the Community Traction Co. for 22 years, then worked as a farmer and carpenter until his retirement in 1944.
Also surviving are a son, Walter F., Toledo; daughter, Mrs. Keith Bowles, Toledo; sister, Mrs. Mark Holmes, Bradenton, Fla.; seven grand-children, and six great-grand-children.
Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Schmid Mortuary, Whitehouse, by the Rev. Herbert Maurer, pastor of the Whitehouse Evangelical Church. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
