MRS. ANTON ADAMEK DEAD
Last week Saturday night, a telephone call was received from Clarkson informing the relatives that Mrs. Anton Adamek was ill and very low at her home and for some of their relatives to come at once, because Anton was not at home. The latter had not been at all well for the last few years and at the time of his wife's taking ill was in Colorado, the the hopes that the change of climate would benefit him.
In response to the message Mrs. Ed Kasper and Ms. Joe Miska left Ord on the next train, but in the meantime another message was received that owing to her serious condition an operation had been performed and in a few hours word came that she was dead.
It was a terrible shock to relatives here because but a few days before other parties from this county had been there and reported her as being well.
As fast as possible the husband hastened to her bedside and arrived before she passed away, but not until it was too late for her to recognize him.
The death of this good woman is doubly sad owing to the ill health of the father and there being three little children, who are left without a mother's care.
Millie Kasper Adamek was born in Washington county, Kansas. At the time of her death she was 33 years and 5 months old. When 9 years of age her parents moved to Valley county and she lived here and went to school and grew up among us.
She leaves her husband and three children, aged eleven, nine and five.
For the last two years the family have been living at Clarkson.
The funeral was held from the Bohemian hall today, under the direction of the CZBJ.
