Dennis L. Ray of Corbin, Kentucky. departed this life on Friday July 25th 2014 at his home. He was 75 years of age.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from CSX Railroad. He was a member of Hazel Fork Holiness Church.

He was born on August 12th 1938 to the late Lee and Axie Frye Ray.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Haskel Ray and Cory Ray, one sister Molly Fritz, one nephew Kenny Ray. His father and mother in law Bill and Winnie Smith.

He is survived by his wife Ada Ray of 54 years, two sons Douglas Ray and Nancy of Jarvis, Scotty Ray and Vicky of Corbin, three daughters Tammie Wyatt and her husband Rick of London, Pat Dozier and husband Ray, and Christine Stockard and husband William Rex, one Grandson Dustin Lee Ray, seven granddaughters Morgan Clouse, Teia Ray, and Wendy Ray, Delissa and Bailee Wyatt, Megahn Ray, and Akira. one great granddaughter Kayden Brooke Phelps, one sister Berdie Jean and husband Al Knassle of Michigan, one aunt Ruby Jean Anderson of Ohio. He also leaves behind loving brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews and a host of great friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Dennis L. Ray will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Hampton Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Morris, Rev. Brian Smith, and Rev. Ramon Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Cemetery in London, Kentucky. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers will be Junior Smith, Virgil Smith, John Smith, Daniel Smith, Gary Smith, Alvin Messer, Danny Gray, Nicholas Jordan, Brandon Gray, and Dustin Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Tri County Hospice.
