Charles Wister Irvin passed away in his late residence, 1253 Philadelphia street, Saturday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock. He had been suffering with a heart condition. He was a son of James H. and Angeline (Linsenbigler) Irvin and was born June 28, 1874 in Armstrong County.

He moved to Indiana 32 years ago. His church connections were with the Plum Creek Brethren Church. He had formerly been employed as mine superintendent at the Idabel Coal Mine.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Taylor Irvin, one son, Paul of Pittsburgh, two daughters, Mrs. J.T. Norris of Pittsburgh and Mrs. J.J. Moorhead of Girard, four sisters, Mrs. William Quigley of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Elizabeth Marts of East McKeesport, Mrs. Pearl Haney of Garretsville, Ohio and Mrs. G.M. Aid of Cleveland, Ohio and two grandchildren, James and Dorcas Moorhead of Girard.
