She was born on February 2, 1951, in Central Lake. She graduated from East Jordan High School in 1969. On August 13, 1997, in Indiana, she married Rex A. Bartholomew, Sr.
Nancy had worked at Dura in East Jordan for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, painting and creating crafts as well as time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Rex A. Bartholomew, Sr. of East Jordan; two children, Karla Rosendall of Alto and Kim McKinnon of Grosse Point Woods; four step children, Roxann Bartholomew of Kalamazoo, Rex A. Bartholomew, Jr. of Ellsworth, Teresa Bartholomew of Traverse City and Virginia Murphy of East Jordan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Marjorie Spence of Central Lake, Patricia Berends of Central Lake, Betty Spence of Central Lake and Linda Hilts of Central Lake; two brothers, James (Jeana) Harter of Boyne City and James (Nona) Spence of East Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Harter; her mother, Dorothy Spence; and two sisters, Valda Gardner and Marian Spence.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church. Rev. Bart Adams will be officiating.
