Rail Road Foreman who ran the station house at Pennsylvania Furnace. This large house was a post office and bank as well. Later, it was split in half to create two separate houses. It still has the large archways that were described in the newspaper account of his daughter Maude's wedding in 1899. Joseph was also assigned as station manager for Eagleville Station in Howard. It must have been here where his daughter Maude and Edgar T Bechdel met. Maude waited until he moved back to Penna. furnace to have the wedding there.
