Son of Aaron Aldrich and Harriet A. Cheeseborough, his place of birth is generally shown as Rhode Island but VR differ on which Rhode Island city: some show Burrillville and others Gloucester. The 1850 US census enumerated on August 21st shows the family in Burrillville.
