THOMAS RUTLEDGE DIES AT ODD FELLOWS HOME

Thomas Rutledge, 72, a former resident of Elwood, died at the state Odd Fellows home at Greensburg, Ind., last evening of infirmities incidental to age. He had been a resident of the home for the past three years and was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Kokomo.

Mr. Rutledge was a native of Scotland and was one of the pioneer workers at the plate glass factory here. He was also employed in the same line of work at Alexandria and at Kokomo. Many older residents of Elwood will well remember him and regret to learn of his death.

His wife died a number of years ago and he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Sparks of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Mary Myer of Denver, Colo. Three nephews, Thomas, William and Edgar Lewis, and niece, Mrs. Jane Cox, reside in Elwood.

The body was brought to the morgue of Copher and Fesler undertakers here, and arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
