"Mary Louise" was the beloved daughter of John Love Reaves Wallace and Agnes M. Wallace. Her sisters were Janessa A. Wallace (born in 1899); Winona (born in 1902); brothers John W. Wallace (born in 1905); and Harry A. Wallace (born in 1908). Mary Louise was a retired pharmacist assistant, having retired from Carter's Drug Store in Wilmington. She was a very dear friend whom I met while she was a resident at "Elderlodge". She never married, explaining that her one and only love/fiance was killed in World War II. She had one neice who she remained close to after her immediate family passed away. I recall taking her to visit her apartment one last time in the summer of 1985. All her earthly belongings were neatly packed just as she had left them. She had fallen in her apartment, broke her hip, and placed in a rehabilitation center. She had survived cancer many years prior, and had a wonderful wit and sense of humor. She was a very dear friend and I miss her deeply. In doing geneology research in recent years, I discovered Mary Louise is related to my Dad--the Wallaces are distant cousins. But she was more than a cousin to me, she was a dear friend. Missing you!!

Cause of death: Complications of stroke.
