Helen Gertrude Coysh was the oldest of the three daughters of Josephine Dawson Coysh and George Coysh. Her father died when she eight years old; in 1920, the census recorded that she and her sister Ruth were living in the Brooklyn Orphan's Asylum. Her mother died in 1922.
Helen was a patient in the New York Home for Consumptives when the 1930 census was taken. (Consumption was the name then used for tuberculosis.) She died just before her thirtieth birthday.
Helen is buried in an unmarked grave.
