William F. Schuckman was born July 7, 1913, at rural Rush County, Kansas. He died September 20, 1999, at Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center, Salina, Kansas.

Mr. Schuckman had operated a tank wagon and service station in Lacrosse during the 1940s and worked for the Civil Service and the Army and Navy in Washington, D.C., during World War II. He was a farmer-stockman in Rush County, retiring in 1979and moving to Salina.

He was a member of St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina.

Survivors included his wife, Genevieve; three daughters, Carol Hoff, Shirley Andrla and Patricia Thibault; three sisters, Gebharda Moeder, Regina Ross and Alexia Basgall; and four grandchildren.
