Son of Frederick Robert and Hattie Estelle Seidensticker, was a physician, trained at Yale. He served as a surgeon in England and France in WWI. While undergoing Army training he met Satie Amelia (Mildred) Beckwith. Throughout the war he courted her through letters which are still in the family's possession. After marrying Mildred he moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he set up medical practice. He was the father of Barbara, Richard Jr., and Robert. He lost a brave battle with cancer, and was returned to Connecticut to be buried near his son, Richard.
