Lillian Mayberry Peake of Houston, Texas formally of Abilene past away Wednesday July 23, 2014.

The family will receive friends Saturday July 26, 2014 from 12:00- 1:00 p.m.in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in Elmwood Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Lotzer officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home.

Lillian was born on June 21, 1912 to Ivan D. Mayberry Sr. and Florence Hutton Mayberry. They moved to Mission, Texas in 1918 and grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.

She Married Herschel S. Peake on February 14, 1934. They had three sons, Steven Ross Peake, Herschel Stuart Peake Jr. and Alan David Peake. They lived in San Antonio, Belton and San Angelo before moving to Abilene in 1940. She was Co-Owner of Racom Wholesale Electronics and also worked fifteen years for Lee Medical Supply.She was a lifelong member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a choir member and long time church historian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, June W. Stewart and one brother, Ivan D. Mayberry .

She is survived by her three sons Steven Ross Peake and wife Joan,Dr.H.Stewart Peake and wife Laurie and Alan David Peake. Sister in law, Ruth Jarnigan of Wheat Ridge,Co., Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also sixteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
