Ella C. Von Bergen, 91, of Fairbury, formerly of Peoria, died Thursday, March 4, 1993, at Fairbury Hospital.
Born Oct. 24, 1901, in Fairbury to Mathew and Emma Sutter Kilgus, she married Albert Von Bergen on Jan. 6, 1921, in Pontiac. He died Sept. 9, 1959. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Robert of Laguna Hills, Calif., and Howard of Citrus Heights, Calif.; three daughters, Rosella Mowery of Fairbury, Alberta Hurt of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Doris Weigand of Washington; and one brother, William Kilgus of Fort Meade, Fla. She worked in the cafeteria at Bradley University and ran a boarding home for Bradley students.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
