Rosa Lee Medlin was born on July 28, 1935 to parents Buford and Lela Mae (Rains) Medlin in Lovington, New Mexico. She was raised in Lubbock and Littlefield, Texas and attended school in Littlefield. Rosa Lee married Roy Dempsey in 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico and worked for many years as a seamstress supervisor for Levi Strauss. Rosa Lee was a member of Shepherd's Way Church. She passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the Bellville St. Joseph Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter Belinda Johnson and husband Joseph of Katy, sons, Dennis Dempsey and wife Anne of Pflugerville and Roy W. Dempsey and wife Gina of Castroville, sisters, Verna Smith and husband Curtis of Amarilla and Roberta Brown of Round Rock, brother, William "W.G" Medlin and wife Bobbi of North Carolina, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Buford and Lela Mae Medlin, husband, Roy Dempsey, brothers, Dean and Kenneth Medlin.
