She was the daughter of William C and Lydia M Hodge. She married Everett J "E J" Coffey on Oct. 6, 1941, in Grainger County, Tennessee.

Hodge of Dover, Delaware; Sisters, Louise Wells, Jean Hodge, Wanda Toby, Pauline Wells, Brenda Carpenter, and Phyllis Arwood all of Morristown; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and entombment at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Preacher Tommy Russell and Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Morning Star Baptist Church, 3412 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Maryville, TN 37804.
