Marce was the loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of 3 sons, Jacob, Jr. (Grace) of West Liberty, Gerald (Juli) of Rensselaer and Michael (Jeanette) of Temecula, CA; 9 grandchildren, Jeff, Glen, Scott, Darrin and Jon Leichty, Karen Dinger, Andrea Kauffman, Kim Chapman, and Kyra Moran; and 21 great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Mary Ulrich of Francesville, IN, and Lavonna (Duane) Miller of Taylorsville, Kentucky, and 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother Marvin Miller, and a sister Ruby Good.
Marce was a homemaker and farmwife, who worked in the barns and in the fields with her husband. She was a committed member of Burr Oak Mennonite Church, where she prepared food for many church functions and taught Sunday School and Bible School. She loved all children, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her delight.
Marce and Jake made many new friends when they moved to Green Hills Community in West Liberty in 2007. In West Liberty she attended Oak Grove Mennonite Church.
Friends may visit with the family at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer from 3:00-6:00 p.m., CST on Monday, January 2, 2017. Family burial in the Burr Oak Cemetery will precede the Tuesday, January 3, 2017, 11:00 a.m. CST Memorial Service at Burr Oak Mennonite Church with Pastor Debbie Voss officiating.
