Sr. Mary Agnesia had a blood sister also in the community - Sr. M. Redempta. They were daughters of Timothy and Emily O'Hanlon O'Sullivan from Cluin or Allihies, Co. Cork. They came with a group of forty girls from Ireland in 1903 to enter the novitiate of the Sisters of Charity, Leavenworth and thirty five of them made their vows.
