Funeral services for Eileen Lansdown,67, Route 1, Ava, were held at 2 pm Monday at Clinkingbeard Chapel with the Rev. John Moles officiating. Burial was in Murray Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Ava, Mrs. Lansdown died at 7 pm Friday, Feb. 9, at Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, following a short illness. She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith.
Born Sept. 7, 1922, in Wright County, she was the daughter of John Wesley and Sallie Ann Matney Plumb. She married Abner Lansdown on Nov. 12, 1938 in Ava.
Surviving are her husband, Abner; four sons, Richard, Jerry, Ronnie, Billy, all of Ava; one daughter, Carla Aborn, Ava; one brother, Dallas Plumb, Lake Charles, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Degase and Mrs. Lorraine Sutherland, both of Rifle, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, as well as by two infant sisters and one infant brother.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
