Michael S. Acerra, 76, of Oceanport died yesterday in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, Mr. Acerra lived there before moving to Oceanport 22 years ago. He had been a principal in the Long Branch School system for 40 years before his retirement in 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Oceanport Senior Citizens club. He was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Long Branch. Surviving are his wife, Lillyan Demayo Acerra; a brother, Joseph Acerra of Connecticut; a sister, Josephine Acerra of Long Branch; and several nieces and nephews.
