Alice Virginia Wilfong, 85, of Bridgewater, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at her home.

Alice was born in Rockingham County on October 8, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Sadie (Robinson) and John Revercomb.

She worked for Rockingham County Schools for 29 years until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of Clover Hill United Methodist Church in Dayton.

On December 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Roland Lee Wilfong, who preceded her in death on June 7, 2005.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Debra Bennett and husband Robert ,of Bridgewater; two sons, Gary Lee Wilfong, of Harrisonburg, and Thomas W. Wilfong and wife Elaina, of Bridgewater; five grandchildren, John (Dana) Wilfong, Mindy (Bobby) Lipinski, Amy (John) Wilfong, Richard (Brandy) Bennett, and TJ Wilfong; eight great-grandchildren, River Wilfong, Ashley Wilfong, Daisey Wilfong, Blake Lipinski, Jacob Barnette, Jackson Barnette, Silas Lipinski, and Lennox Bennett.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Foster and Bertha Revercomb, and a brother, Frank Revercomb.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Clover Hill United Methodist Church in Dayton, with Pastor Stephen E. McMillion officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Bridgewater.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater.
