June was the second daughter of three born to Ross Denton McCallie Jr.& Shirley Bernice Ramsey, She was the Grandaughter of Ross Denton McCallie Sr. & Ida Belle Grissom & Oda Kalb Ramsey & Lillie Belle Little, All formally of Wetumka,Hughes County,Oklahoma.

June loved the land and all God's creatures, especially horses, as a small child growing up in Wetumka she was always around horses or talking about them., Her and I were best friends growing up and in the summer I would spend all my time in wetumka and we would ride Uncle Mike's old grey horse or any other we could find.

When we were about thirteen or fourteen our parents all moved to Colorado where my brother and june's dad Pete and his brother Mike worked on a pipeline through the mountains, June and I spent all our time hanging out at the riding stables or at our friend Karen Ellis who's dad had several thousand acres of land and there were wild horses there, We were always trying to figure out how to catch one but never did, But we seen them several times. We were the worst daydreamer's.

June's older sister Peggy Lee(McCallie)Parker passed away January 02, 1998 in Wetumka and is buried along side her husband Kenneth Lee Parker who died September 26, 2000.
June's younger sister Susan lives in Louisiana,

I will miss not seeing that beautiful face or picking up the phone and hearing Hello Cuz missed you and wanted to call.

We never hung up the phone that our last words weren't I LOVE YOU.
