Colvin Stanley, 64, of Griffithsville, W. Va., died Saturday at his home of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at the Koontz Funeral Home at Hamlin by the Rev. Oshel Bell. Burial will be in the Plumley Cemetery at Big Laurel. Born Oct. 18, 1904, he was a son of the late Fred and Nona Plumley Stanley. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Shirley Elkins Stanley; five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Woodrum of Branchland Rt 3, Mrs. Barbara Carper and Mrs. Mary Torres, both of Griffithsville, Mrs. Joyce Baker and Miss Christine Stanley, both of Hager; two sons, Jackie Stanley of Hager and Carson Stanley of Griffithsville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mrs. Jean Elkins of Sias, W. Va. and Mrs. Jo Emma Elkins of Midland, Pa.; one brother, Chester Stanley of Barboursville; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Smith of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. The body is at the funeral home where friends may call.
