Berniece Anderson, age 104 of Richland Center, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Schmitt Woodland Hills. She was born in Grant County on March 15, 1908, the daughter of Carlos and Mina (Johnson) Burris. Berniece was united in marriage with Herbert Anderson on December 28, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois. They farmed and raised their family together in the Five Points area. Berniece was a member of the Homemakers and the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed singing, quilting, raising chickens, flowers and being with her family.
Survivors include her sons: Robert Anderson of Inverness, Florida, Gary (Marg) Anderson of Largo, Florida, Dennis (Judy) Anderson of Five Points, special daughter in law: Janet Anderson of Norwalk,
three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, one sister: Irma Milward of Florida, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Berniece was preceded in death by her husband Herb; her son John; grandchildren: Denise M. Anderson and Joseph John Anderson; great grandson Justin L. Anderson; and siblings: Marie Burris, John Burris, Ethel Hansen, Del Hill and Vera Meuer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
