BELOIT, WIS. -- Mrs. Nellie Richards, 83, 1021 Summit Ave., daughter of Beloit's oldest resident, died at 4 p.m. Saturday in St. Clare hospital, Monroe. She had been ill since last June.
Mrs. Richards is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Thompson, who is 105 years old. Mrs. Thompson has been living with Mrs. Richards and another daughter.
Mrs. Richards was born Feb. 27, 1875, in Richland county, Wisconsin.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Schmidt, Washington state; Mrs. Nellie Sperling, Beloit; and Mrs. Alma Robertson, Monroe; a son, Harold, Baraboo; her mother; 155 grand children; 23 great-grandchildren; four sisters, including Mrs. Esther Snow, Beloit, and Mrs. Martha McCaskey, Baraboo; and a brother, Earl Jay, Beloit.
A son Bernard, died last Dec. 28. Her husband died 10 years ago.
Arrangements are being completed in the Rosman-UUehling-Kinzer mortuary.
