Kimber Barton was born in New Britain Township, PA. He married Elizageth Lewis in Fauquier County, Virginia. The bondsman was James Lewis. James Scott's Virginia Volunteer Company in the Revolutionary War. They owned land in Fauquier County, Virginia, Hampshire County, VA (now WVA), and Scioto Co., Ohio.
