She attended local schools, and at the age of 20 she married Allen Scollard. They operated a dairy farm for more than 30 years.
Ellen always enjoyed helping with farm work, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables and taking good care of her family. She always attended church and everyone that knew her always thought highly of her.
Unable to care for herself properly, she was brought to San Diego in June 2005, where she lived with her daughter, Judy. Her death came rather suddenly, and she did not endure any long suffering.
She was preceded in death by her son, Doug in 1978, and her husband, Allen in 2003.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Judy of San Diego, Calif.; son, Joe of Valley Center, Calif.; sister, Margaret Ann of Myrtle Creek, Ore.; and brother, Les of Belgrade.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
