Jewell "Cross" Cox, 97, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on Saturday July 19, 2014 in a local hospital. She was born in Huntington, Arkansas to Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth (Spessard) Cross.
She was retired from Wortz Biscuit Company, a member of Grand Ave. Baptist Church since 1953, a longtime member of RSVP and the Jolly Travelers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with burial in Gilliam Cemetery near Greenwood.
She is survived by her two sons, David Cox and his wife Dolores of Van Buren, Arkansas and John "J.R." Cox of Fort Smith; a sister in law Nemoine Cross of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Family will visit with friends from 6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home.
