Mrs. Carrie Anderson, a resident of Whitewater and vicinity all her life, and widow of the late G.A.R. veteran, August Anderson, died at 10:15 am Monday morning at her home on Walworth Street. She had been ill for five years. Mrs. Anderson, who was Carrie Oslock before her marriage, was born August 7, 1857 in Richmond. She was 83 years old. Her marriage to August Anderson occurred on Oct. 21, 1885. He died December 21, 1838. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Etta Marshall, at home and five sons, Alvin of Whitewater; Horace of Marshfield; Randolph of Whitewater; Loren of Chicago; and Howard of Whitewater.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the First English Lutheran Church.
