VAN WERT, Ohio — Raymond A. "Bud" Etgen died at 9:56 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
He was born May 19, 1965, in Van Wert, the son of Raymond and Phyllis "Sue" (Holbrook) Etgen. His father survives in rural Van Wert.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Sara Kanable; three uncles and aunts, Jim (Rachel) Kanable, Paul Allen (Bernie) Griffey and Larry (Tonya) Etgen, and close cousins Jodie Spears, Lindi Coil, Dolly Bloodhart and many other cousins. He is also survived by a close friend, Tammy Barr.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis "Sue" Etgen, and his brother, David Etgen.
He drove trucks as his occupation and enjoyed deer hunting for sport. He was also a member of Sons of AMVETS Post 698 in Middle Point.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Brickner Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery, Ridge Township. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, in the funeral home.
Preferred memorial may be made to Van Wert Community Health Professionals Hospice.
