W.L.A. Williams was the oldest son of William Edward and Ludie Bell (Beckett) Williams. He was born in Clairette,Erath Co., Texas and had 3 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters. They were all born in Erath Co., Texas. On 22 April, 1944 he married Anitra Yerva Harrington in Seattle, King Co., Washington. He met her while he was stationed in Bremerton serving in the U.S. Navy. The first 18 months of their marriage he was stationed overseas. They had 2 sons, Ernest Edward and Gary LeRoy and one daughter, Yerva Belle (Williams) Nelson. At the time of my dad's death, he and my mom had been married 53 years. When my dad passed away he was cremated and was at the Veteran's Cemetery in Arizona. My mother moved back to Washington with the promise that my dad's ashes would be brought back to Washington where at the time of her death she would be placed with him. That promise was kept and my parents will rest together, in death as they did in life for all eternity.
