I am the daughter of James Alton Marvin , aka Jules Elton MORVANT. His name was changed by a school teacher . It was a taboo to have a French name or to speak French . He married my mom, Ella Ruth GODEAUX and had 6 children on the MARVIN name ,BUT WE ARE MORVANTS .Peggy Sue , Jesse Wayne, Kenneth Ray, Sheril Hable , Cindy Fay ,Randy Mark Marvin.They were married in Texas where they met . Dad's dad was Edward Theophile MORVANT and mom was Marie Anastasie BABINEAUX . They had 4 children . They are all buried in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette , LA.
