Mrs. Caddie Blunk Dies in
Mentor at the age of 76. Mrs. Blunk, 76, died at 9:10 wednesday night at her home in Mentor. She had been ill since suffering burns nine years ago while packing tomatoes and was bedfast for the past five weeks. Born in Crawford County May 6, 1875, she was the daughter of Hiram and Mary Chamberlain Kendall. She was married Nov 3, 1892, to John Blunk, who survives her. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A. S. Richard of Indianapolis and Mrs. Walter Blackgrove of Huntingburg; one son Roy Blunk of Birdseye; a brother Clint Kendall of Jasper, five grandchildren and 13 great grand children. One daughter, Thelma, preceded her in death in 1921 at the age of 20. The body was taken to Schmulzer Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p.m. tonight. It will be removed to the home at Mentor at 3 p.m. Friday and will remain there until time for the funeral services which will be conducted in the Birdseye Christian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. C. W. Parks. Burial will be ijn the birdseye cemetery.
