Thomas Alvin Walker, 74, well-known resident of Gideon, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 8th. He had lived in and around Gideon all of his life, having been born in Malden on March 22, 1887.
His funeral was held in the First Baptist Church in Gideon on Sturday, March 9th, with the Rev. William Hill of Malden in charge. Interment took place in the Malden Cemetary, Russell Mortuary service.
The pallbearers were Burl Ellsworth, Vernon Ellsworth, Dave Ellsworth, Donald Bufford, James Bufford and Linis Hayes.
He was united in marriage to Miss Lilly Mae Hayes and to this union was born six children.
He is survived by the widow, Lillie Mae Walker, and six children, Mrs. Thelma Petty, Dexter; Mrs. Norma Keene, Three Rivers, Texas; Alvin Walker, St. Louis; Mrs. Jack Campbell, Gideon; Mrs. H. I.
