Leroy "Donnie" J. Ames, 64, Lodge Grass, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 13, 2005, in the Billings Deaconess Clinic, following a lengthy battle with diabetes.
Donnie was born Aug. 9, 1941, in Crow Agency, a son of Ivan and Dora Wilson Ames. He graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1959. Following his education, he farmed in the Lodge Grass area. He loved his horses and enjoyed camping and fishing.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
His parents and several aunts and uncles preceded Donnie in death.
Survivors include his aunts, Lorine Bizek of Billings, Irene Ames of Lodge Grass and Phoebe Dillon of Hardin, as well as many cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Billings Mountview Cemetery.
Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
