Died
Bumcrot -- At his home in Cherokee, Kansas, Saturday evening, May 3rd, 1884, of pneumonia, Willie Emmett, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Bumcrot, aged 2 months and 2 days.
Willie was sick about two weeks and suffered much; was a sweet babe, but the flower has been plucked and planted to bloom in the bright elysian fields of joy and bliss eternal.
Short was our little Willie's stay;
He came but as a guest;
He tasted life and fled away
To his eternal home.
Sweet be the rest of that dear babe,
Who moulders 'neath the sod.
In yonder world he's free from pain
And lives and reigns with God.
