Betty M. Anhalt, age 84, of 960 S. Rapids Road, Manitowoc, died on Wednesday morning, Feb. 25, 2009, at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Betty was born on March 11, 1924, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Haskins) Barnes. On Feb. 8, 1945, she married Gordon M. Anhalt at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1995. She was employed for 17 years at Tecumseh until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kellnersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Gordon; four brothers: Warren, Donald, Walter, and Robert Barnes; two sisters: Marion Kummer and Geraldine Strauss; and one son-in-law: Michael Kohlmann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Rev. Rallen Stencil will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Private burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, 1500 Highway 310, Manitowoc.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday at church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
