A native of Bellville, GA, Chick moved to Savannah in 1936 to work for the Seaboard Coastline Railroad. He retired as a Yard Master in 1975. For many years he served as a deacon at Faith Primitive Baptist Church. Chick was an avid golfer who played in the Senior Blitz at Bacon Park.
Survivors: his wife of sixty-eight years, Mary Crouse Daniel; a daughter, Janette Daniel of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Gary Fortunato of Alexandria, VA; a sister, Alma Jim Kinsman of Philadelphia, PA; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2004, at Faith Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Robbins officiating.
