The family has scheduled a memorial graveside service for 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, at Charleston Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Reagan officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Sammy, the son of L. C. and Dainie Miller, was born July 3, 1941, in Charleston. He was baptized in 1951. His career with Hollywood Vasarette spanned 25 years before the plant closed. He then worked a number of years in Dallas before his retirement.
Survivors include his son, Shannon Miller of Paris; a grandson, Max Miller of Paris; one niece, Kay Hendley of Dallas; a great-nephew, Jackie Hendley of Dallas; along with many loved ones and friends.
