He was employed by Sears and Roebuck and retired from The Bon-Ton. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was a member of Elks Lodge 378 and Potomac Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lohr Dinkle; one son, Ralph Dinkle of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; and two grandchildren, Deborah Dinkle and Bradley Dinkle.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Services were held at Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Manor Cemetery, Tilghmanton.
