Funeral services for Aline Vinson Wade, 80, of Garland, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Sims Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood.
She passed away suddenly Saturday night, July 12, 2014, at her daughter's home in Priddy.
Aline was born April 19, 1934, in Edgewood, Texas, the daughter of James Edward Vinson and Susie Virginia Dunbar Vinson. She was raised in Edgewood where she attended high school. On November 10, 1951, she married Matt Wade, Jr. in Waxahachie. Aline was employed by Texas Instruments in Dallas, retiring in 1998. She loved her family very much especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going shopping, painting and traveling. Aline lived in Ft. Worth prior to moving to Garland forty-eight years ago. She was a member of the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland.
Preceded in death by her parents James Edward and Susie Virginia Vinson; husband, Matt Wade, Jr. on May 3, 2013; two brothers, Emmet Vinson and Jimmy Dorn Vinson and six sisters, Verba Lou Clowers, Ollie Sledge, Inez Wright, Opal Gregston, Lillian Beall and Lorine Rodden.
Aline is survived by two daughters, Soundra Fulton & husband, David, of Krum and Lisa Clendenen & husband, Gary, of Priddy; brother, Tommy Lee Vinson, of Wills Point; sister, Lina Mae Slayton, of Mineola; sister-in-law, Sue Wade, of Edgewood; six grandchildren, Josh Fulton & wife, Karolyn, Jessica Hunt & husband, Jason, Jodi Painter & husband, Andrew, Jennifer McNell & husband, Steven, Amanda Cohen & husband, Jay and Kayce Clendenen; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
