Daughter of John and Susannah Diemer. She married William Edgar at the Union Hall Hotel, Jan. 1, 1852, in Bloomsburg. They were the parents of David B., John Franklin and Jacob Tidings Edgar, Mary Emma Giger, Sarah Alice Wilson, Martha Elizabeth Savits and Ada Amelia Evans.

Death on Wednesday entered the home of William Edgar, of West Main street, and claimed his wife, Catharine. Mrs. Edgar had been in ill health for several years, but was able to be up and about the house until a few months ago, when the disease with which she was afflicted assumed a more serious phase, compelling her to take her bed. The deceased was sixty-six years of age and leaves to mourn her death, a husband and six children."
