Mr. Orr died Wednesday, March 15, 2000. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Addie Haltiwanger Orr Sr. Formerly of Spartanburg he had been a local resident since 1951. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Congaree Presbyterian Church and retired from Southern Bell.

Mr. Orr was preceded in death by a daughter, Paulette Orr and a son, Rusty Orr.
